Aker Solutions has achieved a feat in its operations in Congo with the first Rigless Subsea Light Intervention System (RSLIP) Offshore Inauguration Campaign with Total Energies

The company via its Linkedin handle expressed delight and proud to announce the success of its first inaugural RSLIP Campaign on the Moho field in Congo, operated by TotalEnergies EP Congo.
 
RSLIP is a pioneering deep-water, riserless, umbilical-less lightwell intervention system, removing the requirement for heavy intervention vessels or mobile offshore drilling units.
 
This concept proving campaign, the first in a projected series of campaigns, was to perform subsea tree changeouts and a plug and abandonment.

The RSLIP LWI system provides the capabilities required to cover the lifecycle of subsea oil and gas assets and is critical in maximizing production from late life fields while substantiality improving the economics in safely decommissioning subsea assets.
