Since the Restructuring of the Angolan oil sector resulting in2019which led to  the creation of the National Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANPG), Angola oil and gas sector has witnessed rapid increment in her crude oil and gas production

This economic great feat which might be attributed to successive launches of licensing bid rounds, the 2019 Tender for 10 Blocks in the Benguela (1) and Namibe (9) Maritime Basins and 2021 Limited Tender Bidding for 8 blocks in the Lower Congo and Kwanza Maritime Basins.

Angola being the second top oil producer in sub-Sahara Africa behind Nigeria is currently produces about 1.1 million barrels per day in the period under review. The country has in last year December announced her intention to quite OPEC which it hinged on the body plan to cut production in 2024.
