Calaya Engineering Outshines at African Energy Week with New Innovation

Calaya Engineering Services Limited recently completed a comprehensive 3D Auto Corrosion Mapping project for one of the major oil clients in Nigeria. using advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) technology, has invaluably placed the company’s technological ingenuity on a global scale.

 The company’s ability to scan critical assets using innovative state-of-the-art equipment and technologies to detect and visualize internal and external corrosion with high precision is a testament to the rare global expertise available at its disposal.

In achieving such an exceptional feat, precision approaches were deployed to allow for: Accurate wall thickness measurements, Early identification of high-risk areas, Data-driven decision making for maintenance planning, and Extended asset life and improved safety.

To showcase its numerous expertise on a global scale, Calaya Engineering was prominent at the just-concluded African Energy Week 2025 held in South Africa. A prestigious global energy event that attracts prominent world leaders, Industrial stakeholders, energy experts, and innovators to chart a path for global energy prosperity.

Calaya’s technological prowess was palpably displayed at the African Energy Week, and the exhibition booth attracted the crème de la crème in the global energy sector, amongst whom are the Nigerian Ministers of State for Petroleum (Oil) and the Minister of Gas, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri and Honourable Ekperikpe Ekpo respectively.

The Managing Director of Calaya Engineering, Engr. Tony Osuagwu expressed his utmost gratitude for the kind visit accorded to his firm by the top echelon of the Nigerian oil and gas management, noting that the insightful discussion he had with the ministers has strengthened the company’s zeal and commitment towards an impactful contribution in the nation’s energy sector.
