Egyptian Firm Wins Multi-Million Cables And Wires Contracts In Qatar

EL SEWEDY Cables Qatar, a 73.4% subsidiary owned by Senyar Industries Qatar Holding W.L.L., one of Qatar’s leading industrial groups in which Elsewedy Electric is a 50% shareholder, received provisional Letter of Award of a project with a value exceeding USD 328 million.

 ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC an Egyptian leading Wires & Cables and Integrated Energy Solution Provider in the Middle East and Africa, has announced that its subsidiary EL SEWEDY CABLES QATAR  with 73.4% owned by Senyar Industries Qatar Holding W.L.L. has received a provisional Letter of Award from Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) for the establishment of new underground Extra High Voltage / High Voltage Cables (EHV/HV) in addition to different voltage levels from 132kV, 66kV and modifications of the existing circuits MW.

 The project value exceeds USD 328 million. The scope of work for EL SEWEDY CABLES QATAR in this contract is the establishment of new underground Extra High Voltage / High Voltage Cables (EHV/HV) in addition to different voltage levels from 132kV, 66kV and modifications of the existing circuits through a period of 30 months.
