Engineering Automation Technology Ltd. (EATL), an indigenous process automation and technology solution firm with global expertise, has been mandated by the federal government to promote and manage system design and fund mobilization of the newly established National Gas Infrastructure Command Centre (NGCC) Project, in partnership with its Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).

According to the Minister of State for Petroleum Gas, Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Engineering Automation Technology Ltd, as a member of the joint technical working group (JTWG) and the promoter of the NGCC project, would design the technical framework for the centre, including system architecture, data standards, operational protocols, and risk mitigation strategies required for an integrated national command system.

The National Gas Infrastructure Command Centre (NGCC) was officially established recently following the federal government’s inauguration of a steering committee and a joint technical working group (JTWG) to drive the establishment.

NGCC is an establishment of the Nigerian government to centralize a digital platform that is aimed at strengthening transparency, coordination, and operational efficiency across Nigeria’s gas value chain.

The minister said the steering committee would provide strategic direction, ensure policy alignment, strengthen inter-agency collaboration, and oversee phased implementation, described the command centre as a key enabler of Nigeria’s gas-to-power ambitions and broader industrialisation agenda under the decade of gas initiative.

The JTWG comprises representatives from EATL as technical and funding lead, the gas and legal departments of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, the office of the minister of state (gas), NMDPRA, NNPC, Gas Aggregator Company Nigeria (GACN) Ltd/Gas Transmission and Expansion (GTE), and the Decade of Gas Secretariat
