According to GGI, the campaign restored production capacity, improved wellhead pressure, and removed paraffin-related blockages that had been restricting flow from the client Asset. These blockages lead to excessively high pressure, which can compromise the structural integrity of the wellbore and wellhead components of a mature asset. High-pressure systems often require specialized High Integrity Pressure Protection Systems to prevent over-pressurization.
This outcome once again demonstrates the value of targeted chemical intervention, which demonstrates the strategic deployment of GGI specialized additives (e.g., inhibitors, pour point depressants, and demulsifiers) to prevent, dissolve, or control blockages in oil and gas production systems in sustaining flow assurance, improving operational efficiency, and reducing downtime in mature fields.
