Gabon: Maurel & Prom Achieves First Gas as Mouletsi-2 Well Comes on Stream

The drilling of the Mouletsi-2 well, located on the Etekamba gas permit in Gabon, was completed at the end of February 2026 with positive results. Tests confirmed a production potential of around 25 MMcf/d.

The completion of Mouletsi-2 well in February 2026, the first gas well drilled by M&P in Gabon, is a milestone achievement by M&P, marking a pivotal step in the company’s diversification strategy and its commitment to supporting the country’s power development.

Beyond its technical performance, it fully aligns with the Group’s diversification strategy and supports the country’s power development. The objective is to bring this field into production by the end of 2026.
