Nigeria has moved one step further in the bid to actualize the country Decade Of Gas Plan Agenda. The positive step this time around is coming from a global renowned LNG investment conglomerate company from Norway- Golar LNG. 

This investment gesture is in furtherance of Nigeria efforts to deepen its domestic gas utilization and enhance gas export. The nation of firm NNPC Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a Norwegian company, Golar LNG (GLNG),to build a Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) plant in Nigeria.

 Group CEO of NNPC Limited, Mallam Mele Kolo Kyari and CEO of Golar LNG, Mr Karl Fredrik Staubo, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies during a brief ceremony held at the NNPC Towers in Abuja, Nigeria.

Golar LNG is one of the world’s largest independent owners and operators of marine-based LNG midstream infrastructure that is active in the liquefaction, transportation and regasification of natural gas.
