Engr. Adeche Omotosho-Oboro, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Umugini Pipeline Infrastructure Limited (UPIL), is a distinguished leader with nearly three decades of experience in the oil and gas industry. With a career spanning over 28 years—half of which has been in senior managerial roles—Engr. Omotosho-Oboro has established himself as a trusted authority in pipeline infrastructure, energy operations, and technical advisory.

Adeche’s career began in 1995 with Shell Petroleum Development Company, where he gained valuable experience across various oil and gas fields. In 2009, he joined Midwestern Oil & Gas Co. Limited as a Senior Operations Supervisor, later advancing to Asset Manager in 2014. Under his leadership, Midwestern became Nigeria’s highest-producing marginal field, an achievement that speaks to his expertise and vision.

His role as Chief Technical Officer at Midwestern further expanded his oversight to include both upstream and midstream operations. He has also served as Head of Midwestern JV and Head of Production at Eroton Exploration and Production Company, where he significantly contributed to operational success and technical advancements.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos and a Master’s in Business Administration from the prestigious Business School Netherlands. Adeche is a registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE), the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and the Project Management Institute. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Fellow of the Association of Enterprise Risk Management Professionals (FAER).

At UPIL, Engr. Omotosho-Oboro has been instrumental in driving operational excellence and providing strategic oversight, particularly in areas of critical importance such as pipeline infrastructure, crude evacuation, and environmental sustainability. His leadership aligns seamlessly with UPIL’s commitment to supporting Nigeria’s energy security and facilitating a sustainable energy transition.

Outside his professional accomplishments, Adeche is an advocate for building lasting relationships within the industry. His interests include reading, football, photography, and golf.
