…..supporting Marathon Oil with Master Service Agreement

Petrofac confirms further growth in Africa, with a new Master Service Agreement (MSA) award, supporting Marathon Oil in Equatorial Guinea.

Under the agreement Petrofac will provide technical authority and discipline engineering support, ensuring operational excellence, integrity, and safety. It will support key onshore and offshore assets: including five offshore steel jacket facilities in the Alba Field and the Alba Gas Plant onshore.

This builds upon Petrofac’s strong relationship and track record with Marathon Oil, which has previously provided engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance services to its Brae assets in the North Sea.

Alex Macdonald, Managing Director—Europe, Middle East and Africa, for Asset Solutions, commented: “This award is a testament to our growing reputation in the region as a safe and efficient service provider, delivering value for our clients. Africa is a key focus area for our business—we look forward to building our relationship with Marathon Oil and supporting its assets in Equatorial Guinea.”

Africa is a key focus for Petrofac’s Asset Solutions business. With operations in Ivory Coast, Ghana, Senegal, and Mauritania already established, this growth in Equatorial Guinea follows the award of a Technical Services Contract by Compañía Nacional de Petróleos de Guinea Ecuatorial (GEPetrol), the National Oil Company of Equatorial Guinea.
