Seplat has disclosed a temporary delay of a few weeks in the completion date of the Oso-BRT pipeline upgrade project, which is designed to enable ramp-up of gas supply to NLNG from 120 MMscfd to 240 MMscfd into 4Q 2026.
The company in its 2026 second quarter report attributed the delay principally to a reallocation of resources (such as vessels, personnel) to resolve the unplanned downtime on the Oso-BRT subsea pipeline during the quarter, described above.
While the underlying project scope remains unchanged and execution activities continue, Seplat stated that critical engineering and construction activities are substantially in progress, supporting the revised completion schedule.
On the recent Gas Supply Agreement with UTM Offshore Limited between the NNPC/Seplat Energy Producing Nigeria Unlimited (SEPNU) Joint Venture and UTM Offshore Limited in execution of a long-term wet gas sales and purchase agreement (GSPA) for the supply of 200 MMscfd of wet gas to the UTM FLNG project over a 15-year term.
The agreement, according to the company, supports the monetisation of up to 1.0 Tcf of gross gas resources from the Yoho field in OML 104 and represents a key milestone in the development of the Joint Venture’s offshore gas resources, as outlined at our CMD in September 2025.
Under the agreement, UTM Offshore Limited will build and operate a new FLNG facility and will construct the connecting pipeline required to supply gas from the Yoho field. The agreement also confirms feed gas supply for the project, with UTM expected to be ready by 2030.
