Shelf Drilling Secures Contract Extension On Rig 141 In Egypt

Shelf Drilling, Ltd has announced that it has secured a one-year contract extension for the Rig 141 jack-up rig in direct continuation of its current term with Gemsa Petroleum Company for operations in the Gulf of Suez offshore Egypt. Following this extension, the expected availability of the rig is February 2024.

Before the Gemsa Petroleum contract, Shelf Drilling Rig 141 has concluded a six-month drilling contract with Petrogulf in Egypt in November 2022 after Rig 141 conclusion of  6-month program with SROCO in Egypt in Q2 2018 and one-year drilling campaign with Gempetco that ended May 2022.
