TotalEnergies Commends PONTICELLI’s Facility on UBETA – PSCC1 Package Contract

PONTICELLI Nigeria Limited, a global EPIC company with bespoke solutions in the design, construction, and maintenance of production facilities and experts in the mechanical, piping, and lifting trades, has hosted a delegation of TotalEnergies Nigeria executives, led by Managing Director Matthieu Bouyer, in its main fabrication yard, Trans Amadi in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.

Mr. Bouyer, accompanied by Olivier Cassassoles, Obi Imemba, and Lucky EKE, visited PONTICELLI’s to undertake a comprehensive tour of key operational areas, including a detailed presentation and on-site demonstration to ascertain PONTICELLI’s capacity to execute the UBETA – PSCC1 package contract.

TotalEnergies delegation after the inspection tour commended PONTICELLI’s commitment to excellence, alignment, and meeting TotalEnergies’ global standards of safety, quality, and sustainability. PONTICELLI, in response, reiterated its commitment to supporting TotalEnergies’ ambitious growth plans in Nigeria, through UBETA and many other exciting opportunities

Ubeta – PSCC1 Package Contract

The scope of the Ubeta – PSCC1 Package contract includes: Procurement, Supply, Construction, and Commissioning Package (PSCC1) of Well Pad Facilities Construction & Obite Treatment Centre Tie-In Works, and comprises the endorsement of Detailed Engineering performed by others.

Preparation and issuance of construction drawings deemed necessary for the works (Fabrication & Installation). Procurement and supply of materials required for the successful completion of the scope.

Fabrication, Construction, Pre-commissioning, and Commissioning of a fully rated unmanned Well Pad and Production Facilities at UBETA Cluster. Fabrication, Construction, Tie-in, Pre-commissioning, and Commissioning WORKS at the OBITE Treatment Centre (Brownfield).

Located in OML58, the Ubeta gas condensate field will be developed with a new 6-well cluster connected to the existing Obite facilities through an 11km buried pipeline. Production start-up is expected in 2027, with a plateau of 300 million cubic feet per day (about 70,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, including condensates).

Gas from Ubeta will be supplied to NLNG, a liquefaction plant located in Bonny Island with an ongoing capacity expansion from 22 to 30 Mtpa, in which NNPC Limited holds a 49% interest.
