Atle Reinseth has his first day at work for Vår Energi this week. Atle joins the executive management team, with responsibility for supplier collaboration and projects.

In June, CEO Torger Rød announced a new organizational structure and executive management team in Vår Energi ASA. Atle Reinseth has been brought in to lead the Project Development and Supply Chain Management department. He will be responsible for optimising the project portfolio and strengthening the company’s cooperation with the supply chain.

“We will continue to grow and invest on the Norwegian continental shelf – and an efficient and smart development of our already extensive project portfolio is absolutely essential. This is not possible without a solid partnership and collaboration with the supplier industry. Atle will be responsible for a very important business area, and with his experience, personality and leadership skills, I’m confident he is the right person for the job. I am proud to have Atle on board and looking forward to a close and good collaboration, “ says Torger Rød.

Vår Energi is an important supplier of energy to Europe and aims to produce 350,000 barrels of oil and gas per day by the end of 2025. At the same time, the company has set ambitious climate goals – with extensive cuts in emissions of greenhouse gases.

In the new organisational structure, emphasis is placed on simplification, which will give better prioritisation of competence and capacity.

“I am very motivated to become part of a company with a completely unique combination of entrepreneurial spirit, history and experience. Vår Energi is set up for the future. The company has a competent and skilled workforce and can develop creative and holistic solutions for continued value creation on the Norwegian continental shelf. I’m really looking forward to getting to know my new colleagues and start contributing,” says Atle.

Atle Reinseth comes from Equinor where he held the position of Vice President for Shaping, Improvement and Analyses. He has management experience from both procurement and project development at Equinor and Acergy. He will commence in his new role November 1, 2022.
