Waltersmith Refinery Capacity Hits 20 Trucks Of Products

The Nigerian current administration is resilent in that the country is sufficient when it comes to supplies of petroleum products in this course, also making available to her citizenry in very affordable cost. This is following the recent promise made by the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri declaring full support for the expansion plans of Waltersmith Refinery, as part of efforts to boost local refining of petroleum products in the country.

Lokpobiri who was on an official visit to the plant with Simbi Wabote, the executive secretary of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), commended management of th company on their concerted effort so far as he expressed delight on the current operational capacity of the plant as concerns ramping up Nigeria’s refining capacity and promoting economic growth.

“The shortest way to addressing our problem of low in-country refining capacity is modular refineries and that is why I am here to see things for myself.

”I am very proud of what I have seen. I also want to encourage Waltersmith and pledge my full support towards their expansion plans, so we can solve the energy problem of our country.”

Executive Secretary of National Content Development and Monitoring Board, NCDMB, Engr. Simbi Kesiye Wabote on his key note address commended the company for leaving up to their commitment towards operational prowess and capability thereby making the Nigerian Content Act a dream come true and invariably fostering local capacity development, and enhancing value retention within the country.

 “NCDMB investment in Waltersmith Modular Refinery has turned out to be one of its best investment decisions so far. WalterSmith Modular Refinery produced over 600 million litres of various products from this refinery. About 20 trucks leave the refineries daily.” Simbi Kesiye Wabote, posited.
